Colored using techniques from an excellent tutorial on Deviant Art. It was nice trying something a little different, and while I don't think this piece was a complete success, the process did give me an idea of how I might integrate this kind of soft lighting into my normal coloring style (which is not so drastically different to begin with).

very cool. colors are solid. the outline is a bit rough in a couple spots, but nothing big. his eyes could have been punched up a little more in the red direction, they seem to blend into his fur a little, though not much. he looks a lot like the squirrel i battle with almost daily to stay of my front porch. r u two in ca-hoots?!

Something about the "beard" makes this look like a grandpa squirrel screaming in arthritic agony.
Nice squirrel Jason. I like the colors...It looks like it could be a mascot for some team. Beware the Squirrel!!!
